Page 4! (finally)

I'M BACK!!!
My apologies for the lack of updates but I was done in by my body last week. I had a case of pancreatitis which is an inflammation of the pancreas caused by not really taking care of myself. Alcoholics tend to get it, (which I am not), gallstones cause it (nope to those too). There was nothing specific for my case really. I've gained alot of weight and been under stress. Either way, if ya meet me at SPX or somewhere down the line and want to have a beer, I will pass. I will pass on the pizza too. Time to straigten up and get get to Making Comics (McCloud makes for good hospital reading, thanx Justin for letting me borrow it)!

I'm one day out now and feeling better as the constant stream of painkillers wear off (though I'm starting to realize how sore I am). According to my mom, who is a nursing professor, the majority of painkillers get doled out to patients who have just had surgery and people with pancreatitis. I can attest to it being INCREDIBLY painful. So yes, I am doped up in the above picture. My girl, Jill, took that at my request. I think the drugs helped my mood as well as my pain. I can't imagine being bedridden for 7 days without something to take the edge off. Once, nice thing about the room at the brand new Jersey City Medical Center was the bitchin' view of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Manhattan, the marina, Liberty State Park, the Verrazano bridge (I think), Staten Island. It was a HUGE window for sure.

But anyway, back to business. There will be another update in a couple of days to make up for the missed week. I am a week behind in my work, but I got a buncha cool comic ideas while I was sick. So stay tuned!
