Drive In and Beef Stick-page 25
Hey everyone! New page! I'm currently in the looong and more-frustrating-than-it-should-be process of getting internet at home. Yep! I have a webcomic and EVERYTHING, updates, site design, all of it, has been done in downtime at work. So having it at home should bode well for more content up in here. I'll be all up ons the internet like dogs on leg.
Weekend movies!: What's the deal with Tom Hanks? I saw the DaVinci code on Sunday and MAN, was he the chief of stiff. Seriously. It would of been much better with a huffing and puffing Harrison Ford. Hanks looked comatose. The film was entertaining enough, a bit of a tightly wrapped sausage 'bout to explode, but decent. That's my deuce cents!
I also saw Babel which was filled with some lovely acting all around. While watching it, I could feel the heavy hand about to drop. The entire film is set up to deliver that kind of melodrama. It, thankfully, chooses it's moments and let's things unfold as naturally as possible for a film set-up with somewhat unnatural, interweaving, out-of order place, time, theme mecahanics. Shit, is that even a sentence? Anyway. It's good.
Much better than The Departed, which BETTER NOT win the best pic oscar! I haven't seen any of the other nominees, so I'll vote for Babel. BABEL!
Next week: KIRBYFACE!!!!
