Looking at these older pages I'm struck by how differently I work now. I used to draw very tightly, and then go loosy goosy with my old Tombo brush-pen. Now-a-days I draw loose as hell and go all tighty-whiteys with my brush. I think I realized somewhere that I didn't want to be (or couldn't be) one of those crazy ink guys. Style is a funny thing. Getting to one you feel comfortable with is like dealing with the 5 stages of grief. I haven't quite hit acceptance, but I'm getting there.
