I finished printing up Carl's Large Story chapter 1 mini-comics. I doubt I'll be selling them here BUT they will be at MoCCA for the special low price of $1.00!
And if my math is correct, chapter 2 should be ready by SPX.
I saw Grindhouse this weekend. Wow, did I get my dollars worth! Films are so expensive these days that normally I always feel cheated. On top of that I have a fairly modern attention span. Meaning that of a gnat. Long movies tend to leave me fidgety and in need of remote control for pause. But when I heard Grindhouse was 3 hours, It didn't bother me. BRING THE DOUBLE FEATURE BACK! I was glued to my seat for two solid films. And I KNOW if I had seen them by themselves I would of felt like "ehh, I coulda waited for the DVD". So kudos to Tarantino and Rodriquez for crafting a very cool movie-going experience. I'm not particularly schooled on grindhouse, but the films themselves are good fun. Planet Terror is a fairly well structured zombie flick with mad gore and Josh Brolin's awesome doctor. Machine gun leg notwithstanding, I enjoyed Death Proof more. Less predictable, more low-fi and KURT RUSSELL!! Seriously, the face on that guy...crazy.
