And the action continues.
I read K. Thor Jensen's road book "Red Eye, Black Eye", last night. I quite enjoyed it. It had me reflecting on my early to mid-twenties...and how they kinda sucked. Of course, they seem awesome if I think of them lightly, but something about his book made me particularly happy to be doing what I'm doing, right now.
Other notes of half interest!
Tear-Stained Makeup #6 should be done in a week or so. I hope.
Some flicks I watched:
Children of Men had my nerves shattered. Seriously. Some of the best war scenes around.
Notes on a Scandal. Someone needs to call a moratorium on Philip Glass and soundtracks in general. I think there was a good movie here. But it was buried under layers of pointless music. Maybe watching after Children of Men wasn't the best idea, since it was very sparse with music in contrast. Eh. Oppressive soundtracks are a pet peeve of mine...
Logan's Run! WOW. Where has this been all my life? And that ending...strange.
Qi! Justin turned me on to this BBC "quiz" show, hosted by Stephen Fry. I'm working my way thru its YouTube vaults at work. Very funny.
Ok. Enough fooling around ! I have a semi-big announcement coming and I must prepare!!!

children of men was very good. so was notes on a scandal but dame dench sure needed some lovin' in that one...maybe carl can help her out!
I got the first three seasons of QI if you or Justin are interested!
I have a feeling that Red Eye Black Eye is going to be a good counterpart to The Salon. Except that The Salon was college into High St. lifes. Also, with killer magic woman.

Correction last 3 seasons I was hopping to purchase the first season dvd, but it's still not available in the US.
